FEATURED WORKHalfway to Everywhere Music & Art Festival
EMPORIA, KANSAS
EVENT TYPE
Multi-stage, multi-venue music and arts festival
SERVICES PROVIDED
Multi-stage, multi-venue music and arts festival
PROJECT STORY
Altissimo has supported Halfway to Everywhere from 2019 to the present. The festival was created by Hank Osterhout, and from the first year forward it became one of the defining projects that helped shape the way we think about live events. What began as helping coordinate the event evolved into a deeper production-lead role as the festival grew across multiple stages and venues in downtown Emporia.
SCOPE
This festival involved multiple locations, multiple stages, artist-facing needs, and the kind of constant coordination that comes with a growing public event. It challenged us early and often, but it also helped sharpen our understanding of what successful event support really means.
SUPPORT FOCUS
Halfway to Everywhere was one of the key events that helped shift our perspective from being gear-oriented to understanding the bigger picture of live production. It reinforced the importance of communication, coordination, adaptability, and supporting the event as a whole, not just the equipment inside it.
Life Time UNBOUND Gravel
EMPORIA, KANSASEVENT TYPE
Major endurance event / public race weekend programming
SERVICES PROVIDED
Finish line staging, start and finish line audio, distributed coverage support, winners circle audio, MC support, expo stage and audio, artist support, and event-day production coordination
PROJECT STORY
Altissimo has supported UNBOUND Gravel for more than six years, helping deliver audio and staging support across several of the most public-facing parts of race weekend. Our role has included support for the start and finish line, the winners circle, and the expo programming in the days leading up to the race.
SCOPE
This work has required coordinated support across multiple event zones, including a main finish-line stage with long-throw street coverage, a separate winners circle area, and the UNBOUND expo stage used for announcements, artist performances, and athlete interviews before being moved into race-day operation at the finish line.
SUPPORT FOCUS
UNBOUND demands reliability, clarity, and calm execution in a high-visibility environment. Our role has been to help create strong audience coverage, support the event’s public presentation, and make sure key race-weekend moments feel organized, audible, and event-ready.
Celebrate AMERI’KANA KC 2025
KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI
EVENT TYPE
Community-driven music and arts festival / public activation
SERVICES PROVIDED
Main stage support, second-stage audio and platforms, sound systems, audio engineering, stage management, generator sourcing, power distribution, and production planning support
PROJECT STORY
In 2025, Altissimo supported Celebrate AMERI’KANA in Kansas City, Missouri by helping the event scale its production in a way that remained strong, practical, and audience-focused. The event was working through a different funding reality, and our role was to help adapt the production plan without compromising the overall experience.
SCOPE
We supported the main stage with stage, sound, audio engineers, and stage management, while also providing audio and platforms for stage two along with generator sourcing and power distribution for both stages. The event involved both sponsor-facing priorities on the front end and a deeply community-driven experience on the day of the festival.
SUPPORT FOCUS
Our goal was to help the organizers protect production quality while working within a more realistic scale. By helping reshape the event thoughtfully instead of allowing it to lose momentum, we supported a version of the festival that could still feel strong, visible, and worth building on in the future.
Lovegrass Music Festival
WILSON LAKE, KANSAS
EVENT TYPE
Multi-day music festival
SERVICES PROVIDED
Stage, audio, lighting, engineering, power support, and crew
PROJECT STORY
Altissimo supported Lovegrass for more than six years, growing alongside the festival as it evolved. What began with a smaller stage build and more limited coverage gradually developed into a much larger and more capable production environment as both the festival and our company matured.
SCOPE
Lovegrass brought the realities of a multi-day outdoor festival at Wilson Lake, including turbulent weather conditions off the water and inconsistent power from the park. Those factors required flexibility, practical troubleshooting, and steady event support to keep the festival moving in the right direction.
SUPPORT FOCUS
As the event grew, our support grew with it. Lovegrass reflects the kind of long-term event relationship where production is not just about showing up with gear, but about adapting year after year to help the festival stay on track, evolve, and continue creating a strong experience for artists, organizers, and audiences.
